Schlüter-DILEX-MOP is an expansion joint profile with sturdy serrated lateral sides made of rigid, recycled PVC and a grey, soft PVC expansion zone between the lateral sections for use in screed applications. It is available in three heights, from 35 to 65 mm.
Schlüter-DILEX-MOP is a profile with sturdy serrated lateral sections made of recycled rigid PVC and a centre movement zone made of soft PVC. The profile is available in three different heights and is installed as a movement joint in coverings set in a mortar bed, e.g. pavers, ceramic tiles, and natural or man-made stone. It separates individual installation segments in the covering and absorbs minor compressive stresses in the soft PVC movement zone. Since the profile does not have lateral frictional anchoring in the mortar bed, it is not suited for absorbing any tensile stresses that may be present.
The lateral sections of the profile are made of rigid PVC and protect the edges of the adjacent covering from mechanical stresses caused by conveyor vehicles, subject to the limited mechanical suitability of PVC profiles in edge protection. The lateral profile sections are made of environmentally friendly recycled PVC and may vary slightly in colour. The profiles are therefore primarily intended for industrial applications.
DILEX-MOP may also be tapped into saw-cut joints or inserted into wider joint cuts, e.g. as part of renovation projects. The remaining joint space between the tile and the profile must be filled completely with grout or epoxy.
